Common Urological Diseases and Its Treatment

Kidney Stones or renal stones: Formation of solid masses made of salt and mineral crystals which are developed in the urinary tract or kidney. There are different types of kidney stones are

• Calcium stones (A common type of kidney stone made of calcium oxalate or phosphate)
• Uric Acid stones (formed due to the hyperacidity of urine)

Bladder Stones: Bladder stones are small and hard masses that are formed by calcium (or) magnesium deposits in the bladder. The general symptoms are a pain in penis, bloody urine, the onset of slow urination. The causes for bladder stones are Inflammation, cystocele, Prostate enlargement, neurogenic bladder. Bladder stones are treated and prevented by increasing the intake of water, liquid to decrease the urine concentration and regularly emptying the bladder, avoiding constipation.

 

Penile Cancer: It is a malignant growth that is found in the tissues or on the skin of the penis. Sometimes the benign tumor may be found which are not considered as cancer. The common symptoms of penile cancer are a sharp pain at the penile tip or blood discharge from the tip of the penis, irritable lumps on the penis, redness on the penile skin. The causes of penile cancer are said to be poor hygiene of the secret part, weakened immune system, HIV-Positive men, and genital warts. Surgery, chemo, and radiotherapy are the methods of treatment offered.

 

Urethral Stenosis: Urethral stenosis is a condition developed when there is a blockage or narrowed section of the urethra that drains urine from the bladder to outside of the body. This condition may be due to urethral infection, urethral trauma, dermatological diseases etc., The experienced symptoms are bloody urine, Dysuria, repeated urination to empty the bladder, blood from the urethral meatus associated with fever.
